Instead of taking dreary highways 1 and 20 as other motorbike tours do, we hit the countryside roads to get to Dalat. The off roads around and through farmlands, plantations, reservoir lakes, jungles, and highland passes give you a vista into the natural beauty of Vietnam. Tour ends in Nha Trang where you can continue your trip onwards to the central or north of Vietnam
Day 1: Saigon – Nam Cat Tien National Park, 190km
Getting out of busy Saigon, we take the off roads to Nam Cat Tien National Park, around 150 kilometers away. A ferry brings us to the other side of Dong Nai River for our drive on to and around Tri An lake, the second largest in Vietnam and built for producing hydro power.
We take the back roads through jungle of Ma Da and have an opportunity to explore the tunnels of DMC base of Front for liberation of South Vietnam in the 60s.
We continue our drive by smaller roads through the fertile natural reserve before getting on another ferry taking us to near by Nam Cat Tien park. This section may prove to be the toughest of the trip. No worries about photos stop and lunch, we know that you are on vacation, we offer a very relaxed trip with many photo opportunities, and lunch is served whenever you need to eat! ! Overnight in hostel near by the park
Day 2: Nam Cat Tien –Di Linh, 161 km
Today we head to the highlands where tea and coffee plantations dominate the area and the route will take us through some minority villages that rely heavily on growing and harvesting these staples. Meandering along trails, through and around waterways and the plantations to and from Da Pal lake is a highlight for today.
We’ll take an overnight stop in a little resort next to a water fall in Di Linh.
Day 3: Di Linh – Lak lake, 200km
Today, we will pass by many villages of H’mong who immigrated from north to south Vietnam to seak for better living, for warmer climate
Let yourself get swallowed up in the picturesque scenic highland, a sea of green everywhere you look to the endless horizon. As usual, we’ll stop anywhere and you can shoot at will.
In the late afternoon, we check in at the guesthouse in Lak lake. Dinner with barbecued fish or buffalo or free range chicken and local rice wine will make the night last longer. After that we can call it a day!
Day 4: Lak lake – Da Lat, 148km
The ride to Da Lat from Lak lake is normally short, easy on open road but we will make it different and longer. We will take the ferry to cross Krong No river, pass by Krong No hydro power dam before hitting the foot pads connecting the eastern part of Ho Chi Minh trails to Dalat.
We continue through the center of the flower farms area, mainly roses, hydrangeas and straw flowers… before checking into our hotel in Da Lat.
What could be better than a walk to a barbecued restaurant in the cool temperature of a town located 1500m above the sea level and enjoying a jar of warm rice wine or a glass of vin Da Lat
Day 5: Down hill to Nha Trang, around 150km
After breakfast, we take a stunning 140km winding drive down to the coast to the oceanfront town of Nha Trang. During the trip can stop at vegetable and flower farms, hill tribe villages, and coffee plantations. Besides winding by forested mountains for much of the way, the road hits 1500 metres as we traverse the pass and take in some spectacular views down to the coast
